Who We Are

Why Lake Olbolossat Matters

Lake Olbolossat is one of Kenya’s most important freshwater ecosystems, supporting biodiversity, communities, and water security.

Vital Water Source

The lake supports downstream rivers and provides water for communities, livestock, agriculture, and wildlife.

Rich Biodiversity

Home to numerous bird species, wetlands, and wildlife, making it one of Kenya’s most valuable freshwater ecosystems.

Climate Resilience

Healthy forests and wetlands improve carbon storage, reduce erosion, and strengthen resilience against climate change.

Our Work

Our conservation programmes restore ecosystems, improve livelihoods, strengthen climate resilience, and empower local communities to become stewards of the Lake Olbolossat watershed.
