Who We Are

Friends of Lake Olbolossat Foundation (FLOBF) is a community-based environmental conservation organisation dedicated to protecting and restoring Lake Olbolossat and the wider Aberdare ecosystem in Nyandarua County, Kenya.

Founded in 2009 and registered as a Non-Governmental Organisation in 2011, FLOBF works with communities, schools, churches, farmers, government institutions, and conservation partners to promote environmental restoration and sustainable livelihoods.

Our work is built on the belief that conservation succeeds when communities are empowered to become active guardians of their environment.
